If you’re looking to improve balance, power, agility, coordination, and strength, Pilates is for you. Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. The blend of strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no muscle group is overworked and the body moves as an efficient, holistic system in sport and daily activity.

Britt’s Pilates classes are available to clients of all abilities and levels.  Some clients find jumping in to an established class a bit daunting.  If you’re looking to learn Pilates from the ground up, consider a personalized class for a period of time, then join a group classes.  Britt will be happy to work with you and then recommend the class that best meets your needs.

Advanced students should consider adding variety to their Pilates repertoire with Britt’s challenging Pilates with Props class.  Utilizing stability balls, small balls, foam rollers, magic circles and resistance bands, we will target the muscles of the core, legs, butt and arms.  This truly is a complete body workout that will leave you feeling energized, strong and stretched.

Maggie Thompson of Middlesex appreciates the variety that you can get in just one of Britt’s Pilates classes:

“I know in Britt’s Pilates classes I can count on getting a good workout. I enjoy the variety of exercises from week to week – it’s never same-old, same-old. There is always something new, something challenging, something invigorating. Britt’s teaching style is dynamic, informative, fun and respectful of individual differences. She incorporates adaptations of exercises when needed, to match the various levels of participants. She welcomes questions and feedback and has an approachable rapport. She cheers us on – is encouraging and positive of our efforts and successes.”

Emily Gatewood of Marshfield says:

“Britt’s teaching style is one that exudes calm, confidence and profound caring. I love going to her classes because I know I will always come away with a deeper understanding of Pilates, among other techniques, and get a great full body workout. When my lower back is feeling achy, there is no better relief for me than her Pilates class. I also have gotten so much stronger in my glutes and hips.”
